Hamelda is 63 and the single mother of 8 children. Her husband passed away and she now struggles to feed her large family on her own.
Hamelda set up a business making clay stoves, which are in high demand, but she has little money to reinvest back into the business. With a small loan, Hamelda will buy raw clay and equipment to speed up the production process. The extra profit will not only support her family, but also allow her business to keep expanding, employ other workers and create jobs in the local community. Hamelda wants to contribute towards her grandchildren’s education. Her dream is to one day have a safe, well built brick home with electricity and a private toilet.
